LittleNinja 46 minutes ago. Why did I get "Gnome alone"? I just got it when I started up the game. I doubt it is given to everyone because only 22% of people have it Showing 1 - 2 of 2 comments. Long story short, I was trying to achieve the gnome achievement and during the game I save a lot so I don't have to re-do a lot of parts if I die. I would also sometimes leave the gnome behind to finish an area and run back to get it (like when there's a hunter-chopper shooting at you while in the car and the gnome just falls out) those parts. During the Riding Shotgun chapter, I decided to

Gnome Chompski was originally introduced to the world as a garden gnome prop in Half-Life 2: Episode Two. If you carry him all the way to the end of the game (no easy task) and then launch him
When I played half life 2 for the first time, there was a lighting issue. I easily fixed it by a few dxlevel commands, so before I even ran episode 1 and 2 I added the same commands through steam to execute it on start. So now I tried re-installing episode 2 and I did not input any commands and it immediately give me the achievemnt. This worked

Gnome Chompski is a garden gnome prop that originally appeared in Half-Life 2: Episode Two, and whose fame comes from the fact that if you carry him all the way to the end of the game and launch

A homage to Chompski's adventure has already been added to Left 4 Dead 2, Half-Life: Alyx and Half-Life 2: Episode 2 in the form of a new achievement, too. It's called Gnome Alone, with the description: "If you are reading this achievement, Gabe Newell has successfully launched Gnome Chompski into space." This wasn't all for lols, though.

ACT 1: PART 2 OUT NOW! - MLGNoscoper044. • 3 yr. ago. Lol okay so basically, there’s this gnome at the very start of ep2 (after the train crash) and you need to take it through the entire game until you reach the rocket ship in which you need to put it into the open hatch. You need to make sure that it doesnt break, and make sure its all the way into the space capsule.
I'm actually curious as well, s I really enjoyed this achievement (I remember making fun videos for both the Half-Life 2 Episode 2, and Left 4 Dead 2 videos sadly copyright strikes destroyed one of them in the early days of these strikes)
A small replica of Gnome Chompski from Half-Life 2: Episode Two flew into the orbit and helped to raise more than a quarter of a million dollars for charity. The event was arranged by Gabe Newell in cooperation with the Starship Foundation and Rocket Lab, a company that sends small objects into the orbit. It was aboard its Electron rocket that

Add file RSS Files. 01. It's literary a BROKEN ACHIEVEMENT, you can probably get it just for being an idiot / or a nice person as you may already have been. 02. Apparently you can get this from any map or mode (means any campaign or survival or whatever) and just need to wait until it to trigger. You cannot get the achievement if your character is dead on arrival.
Which leads us nicely to the real video game news of all this: that to coincide with the launch Valve also added a new achievement to Half-Life: Episode 2, called Gnome Alone. Advertisement A game
I put the Gnome in the rocket in Our Mutual Friend, launched the rocket in T-Minus One, even sat through the credits, and I didn't get it. Please help. Showing 1 - 2 of 2 comments
